Just a word of thanks for the great job you did all year at the Cruise In. I really like the National Anthem and pledge to the Flag. That seems to be lost in so many events today. I hope you guys will continue this for a long time. Have a safe and Warm Winter.

Joe and Deborah Wall

David & all the Cruise In Gang (except Lyle, ha!)

Thanks for working so hard and making this a great car season for all the Cruisers and families in the area. Last Friday was exceptional and it should have been on TV stations in middle TN. The community needs to see some 'good news' happenings for encouragement in tough times. I am proud to be one of the Hendersonville Cruise In gang or as Dr. Linn teased me the other day saying 'old guys' with 'old cars'. Of course, Dr. Linn and her husband come out most every week and love it!

David M. Sprouse, Partner, DCS United, LLC & BYT Management, LLC

Practice Manager, Family Health Care of Hendersonville

Congratulations, David Ferguson for a great season with the Hendersonville Cruise In. It was great tonight; I really enjoyed seeing the cars, the decorations, and the kids having so much fun! It was also good to see you, Great job!!!                          Cindy Jantz

11-03-2009- This is a letter from Mr.Russell Belcher, he is Emily Garrison’s grand father and back in the summer he ask us could we put on a car show to benefit Emily. We discussed this and Lyle suggested the family lived in White House and they were just starting to establish a new Cruise In up at the Krogers in White House. After talking to Brian Ashley (TN Classic Truck Club) and Brian Padgett (Kroger Store Manager) it was decided that August 15th the White House Cruise In would be the best place to have this benefit and it was a great success, more than $5000 was donated. Mr. Belcher and his family have become good friends and we keep up with Emily’s well being.

Lyle thanks for all of the good work you, your wife, David, and everyone involved with the Hendersonville cruisein did this year, especially the benefit for Emily Garrison, me and my family really thank you'all very much. I really enjoyed being at the cruisein this past summer and I hope to see everyone next summer, keep up the good work.

 Russell Belcher

11-03-2009- This letter from Brian Scruggs is important to us the Hendersonville Cruise In because it sums up our mission, “give not take”. Our goal has been the same from the beginning, do something for fun that people will enjoy that does not cost anything. We want our Sponsor’s to enjoy the Cruise In as much as we and you do. When they contribute something to give away (which they always do) it’s just a plus that’s make all of us feel good about. As always when you visit a sponsor tell them you see them at the Cruise In they “LOVE IT”.

 Hey,

I want to say Thank You for allowing Zaxby’s to be apart of your cruisin without expecting anything besides us being present. Ya'll have been a huge influence on me personally. I don't think that it is possible to repay you for all you have done. It’s not very often that I meet individuals that enjoy simply being apart of other peoples lives because you love to make them smile and bring them joy. Thank You For Being Real! Ya'll are awesome. I look forward to seeing you soon.

Love Always, Bryan Scruggs (Manager / Partner Owner)

Note: Before the September 11th Tribute Cruise In Lyle sent an e-mail to Channel 5 News, Morning Anchor/Reporter and friend of the Hendersonville Cruise In; Steve Haslip, could he tell everyone about our Tribute to 9/11. We had many people that came to the Cruise In tell us they heard about it that morning from watching Steve and the morning news team. All of us at the Hendersonville Cruise In want to thank Steve for he’s been a great addition helping us with the special events and getting the word out. Well over 1000 people attended with 100’s of old car and trucks. These are the e-mail we sent and Steve’s reply. Again thank you Steve and we thank all the people that made the 9/11 Tribute a great success. Oh! Below you'll see just what a "car guy's" Steve, his son Paul and his Dad are!

Steve,

Thanks for helping get the word out about the 9/11 Hendersonville Cruise In. We had the best crowd we have had in the four years we have been having the cruise in.   We had Fire Dept equipment, Military vehicles, Tennessee Guard, Police and a lot of old cars that we had not seen before. Several of the new people at the show said they saw it on your show. It was such a success we plan on doing it again next year,, even bigger.

Thanks again,

Lyle & Mary Exline

Dave & Darline Ferguson

Lyle:

I'm glad you had such a great turnout. Sorry I couldn't make it as I made a quick trip to West Tn to see my dad. I took my son Paul, so he could shine on the cars that my dad has.  Paul cleaned the 1941 Chevy Convertible, the 1957 Bel-Air, the 1985 Monte Carlo ... and my brother-in-law's old Buick he's driving. We also put a starter on my old 1952 Chevy Convertible.  Fun weekend trip!

Let me know when I can announce another Cruise In ... and I look forward to seeing you guys again sometime soon.

Best wishes always .... Steve

On August 15, 2009 the Hendersonville Cruise In staff went to the Saturday evening White House Cruise In to assist them by doing DJ and announcing to benefit two year old Miss Emily Garrison. Her Grandfather, Mr. Russell Belcher came to the H’ville Cruise In wanting to get a fundraiser together and when we found out they were from White House we knew that they should take this one on and it was great they raised over $5000 and support keeps coming in. We all in Hendersonville applaud White House for there willingness and great sprit. Here are some letters written to the H’ville Cruise In. Also to be noted Wayne Padgett donated and Small Block Chevy Motor to be raffeled off. Thanks Wayne!

08-16-2009 Thanks for recommending that we host this fundraiser.  Thanks for your hard work and for letting us use your DJ and sound equipment.  You are welcome anytime to our cruise-in.  I am still in shock that we raised over $5,000 and to know that it is not over yet.  A member of Bethlehem Baptist Church approached me at work today and said they were going to host an event this Thursday at the church as a result of last night.   Thanks,

Brian Padgett, Kroger White House Store Manager

08-19-2009 Thanks so much to David, Lyle, and wife’s for helping out Saturday night at the White House Cruise In. Emily enjoys herself and so did my other kids. The world needs more people like you guys. We'll see ya at the Hendersonville Cruise In.

Thanks again, Jason, Beth, Kyle, Katie, Adam and Emily Garrison

08-16-2009 White House Cruise In Coordinator Bryan Ashley wrote: A lot of credit goes to you guys. Without the support of the H'ville cruise-in the White House cruise-in wouldn't be what it is today, so thank you!!!

This letter was received 05-12-2009 in reference to the John Bryant Benefit, Car and Motorcycle Show, the H’ville Cruise In assisted and helped Patricia and Kevin-

Kevin & I would like to thank Lyle & Mary Exline, David & Darline Ferguson for helping us put this show together, without them we could not have pulled this together. we wanted to do something to try and help John Bryant and we thought this would be a great way to do so.   I also can not say Thank you enough to everyone that took time out from there Mothers Day holiday to come out and support us in helping John Bryant.  We can not tell you just how much we appreciate it and are truly grateful for all of the love & support everyone showed. We hope that everyone had a great time and we want you to know that each and everyone of you will be truly blessed by the gifts that you gave to John Bryant.  With help from all of you we were able to raise $2,600.00 for the Bryant Family Memorial Fund.

May God Bless you All

Dear Lyle,

Thank you for your help organizing the Hendersonville Cruise In this year

and again helping Faces of Hope become a pillar in the community.  Without

help from people such as yourself, our organization would not be able to

operate.  Thank You again for your wonderful help and the ability to help us

reach into the community.

Note: Megan sent this to Lyle on 04-22-2009 and wants all of you to know how generous you all are and very much appreciated also, Megan work on this event for months -

To all the Friday Night Cruisers:

I want to say a very big thank you to all of you who were there on Saturday for “Cruise-In For Hope”.  Your smiling faces were a welcome sight and I hope you had fun.  Steve Hayslip had so much fun looking at your cars and talking to you as did me and everyone involved.

I thank all of you for your support of myself and Faces of Hope in the last year.  I have enjoyed getting to know so many of you and call you friends. Now that our event is finished I am sad to say that my time at Faces of Hope has come to an end also. So I want to say a HUGE thank you for your kind words, wonderful hearts, and support in the last year.  And even though I won't be working on a Cruise-In anymore I will still be there on Friday nights to see all of you... I have joked that I won't know what to do not having a job to do while I'm there, but I'm quickly realizing it means I have time to just look at beautiful cars!!! That is so exciting!

So thank you once again for everything!  I look forward to seeing all of you on Friday nights!

Note: Lyle received this from Bo Wright, 04/21/09, a long time supporter of the “Cruise In”, Thanks Bo-

A lot of the guys like me don't go to shows to win anything although a door prize is nice,

but it really doesn't manner. We just like to go and hang out and have folks look at our rides. I have spent over 3 yrs. an more money than I like to admit to have no one to look at it an enjoy it as much as I like to show off.  To be honest, it’s an ego trip for me, when someone comes up and says how nice my car looks, knowing how hard I worked on it.

Thanks to You and your group for providing a place to hang out on Friday nights.

See ya soon,

Bo

Special Note: this letter was received 04-19-2009 in reference to the Faces of Hope, Cruise In we helped put on- “The Hendersonville Cruise In”

I just wanted to say thank you again for putting on the event yesterday.  We were proud to be there and hope we added to the cause in some small way.  I joked about which of the firefighters I was going to send up to accept the award when we won.  (I had no idea there was even a category for fire apparatus!)  You can imagine our surprise when we heard our name called!  Thank you again for what your group is doing for the community, and for the positive attitude expressed by both yourself and several people we came into contact with at the event.  We will plan to “Cruise in” on a Friday with you all soon.

Sincerely,
